What?
Ganeshotsav is a festival of cultural significance celebrated all over India. The history of its celebration dates back to pre-Independence of India, when people were prohibited from gathering in large numbers. A freedom fighter, Bal Gangadhar Tilak founded the publicly celebrated Ganeshotsav Festival (i.e Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav) as a means of uniting people from diverse groups and enhancing their sense of social belonging
Who?
Adelaide Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Samitee Inc., formed May 2012, shares this same vision. Several regional Indian associations exist in South Australia – we aim to bring people together from all associations irrespective of their background, Indian and Australian, to celebrate this cultural festival together.

Audience
Last year more than 1500 people attended this event over two days. This year we are expecting even more. This will present a great chance to organizations for direct interaction with the general public.
Past forms of marketing the event:
- Facebook promotion: facebook.com/asganeshotsav (creation of event, posters, photos of preparations leading up to event)
- Print: Printed posters posted in supermarkets, universities, workplaces, local Indian grocery shops, council notice boards.
- Radio: Indian community Radio Adelaide program
- Online: Listed as an event in the Multicultural SA event calendar
This year, we will market the event more aggressively by additionally;
- Emailing event poster to those who have become part of our mailing list after the success of previous years.
- Emailing event poster to as many regional Indian associations in Adelaide as possible to increase promotion.
- Contacting local Newspapers
- Development of ASG website for further promotion.
- Your business advertisement will be printed in the event booklet which will be hand over to every attendee to take home and keep for the future reference.

In order to keep benefits to sponsors fair, we will strictly abide to the following guidelines:

Full payment needs to be received by 1 August 2017. (We will start advertising as soon as 50% of sponsorship amount deposited in our bank account.) Below are our bank details:

Business Logo (all sponsors) needs to be received by 1 August in order to appear on Event Poster.
- It is the organisation’s responsibility to provide a logo by this date. We cannot be responsible if the current logo is not received by this date and an alternate one is used inadvertently.
- Please ensure only logo is sent for inclusion on the poster. (no long addresses or lengthy details please)
- A lengthier flyer about your business can be sent for inclusion in our Facebook/website promotion.

- Business Banner for display inside event venue must be no larger than 1.5m by 2m in size.
- One trestle table will be provided to Corporate and Platinum sponsors for use near the hall entrance on both days of the event. This can be used for pamphlet/flyer distribution and can remain set up for the entirety of the event.
- Your Business will be mentioned on ASGS’s Facebook page and ASG website at least once in the month leading up to the event.
- All sponsors will receive 2 reserved seats per organisation during both days of the event.
- Each sponsor must liaise with our sponsorship committee prior to the event to run through how they will advertise on the day. We will also discuss when businesses will be required on the stage. Unfortunately, we cannot accept any last minute changes to these plans in order maintain fairness for all sponsors.
